We serve an awesome God!
We serve an awesome God. We always know that, but today He just did something that blew our minds. As most of you know, we have been praying for the past seven years for a warehouse. Recently, I sent out an e-mail asking for prayer because there was an opportunity for us to get a warehouse. Thanks for praying. God answered all of our prayers and His answer was above and beyond anything we have asked for. Today (Aug. 28, 2008), Martha and I met with a man about a warehouse. The meeting went great. He showed us the warehouse to make sure it's what we needed. It didn't take long to say "yes it is." He is going to have his real estate agent draw up the papers, then the agent will call us, we'll read over the papers, sign it and get the keys to our 33,000 square foot warehouse. Yes, 33,000 square feet! It was 95 degrees here in Dothan, Alabama, today, and inside that warehouse wasn't bad at all. And, we just received 8 inches of rain from Tropical Storm Fay and the roof didn't leak at all. Is our God awesome or what? I can answer that ... yes He is! As soon as we get the keys, I will call a trucking company about the food and we'll start filling that warehouse up with food, blankets, coats, hygiene items and more for the homeless and poor in the U.S. and throughout the world. God has given us a vision to reach the homeless and poor here in Dothan and throughout the nation, and to provide food to the starving throughout the world. God providing this warehouse is a great sign that He is going to work through Love In Action to do all of that. Go to our Web site at www.loveinactionministries.com for more updates about the warehouse. I will have much more about this awesome blessing from God soon. Thanks to everyone who has been praying.

Dwight,
You are an awesome blessing. Your excitement and energy excites and energizes me. Thanks for being involved with LIA.
Shane,
Mike is right. It's Revelation 3: 7-8: " These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name."
Praise God!
